No Jeopardy With This Commodore Support Source The answer: Commodore MaiLink The question: What is the best publication available today for Commodore users? Commodore MaiLink is the newsletter of Meeting 64/128 Users Through the Mail, a mail-only "club" that has been in existence for over ten years. After reading Commodore World, Loadstar Letter, numerous newsletters; and all the magazines and other publications that have come and gone, I have concluded that MaiLink currently offers the largest amount of information that is directly useful to the average Commodore user. Commodore World (now GO64/Commodore World) is an excellent source of information on programming and telecommunications. You can't beat Jeff Jones' coverage of Internet issues, as well as a vast quantity of excellent material on hard drives, the SuperCPU, RAMlink and other hardware enhancements. But for articles covering every day use of our magic machines, I think MaiLink has the most to offer. Yes, there is technical, programming and telecommunications information; but it's not the whole publication. For example, a recent issue includes articles on problems with mailing disks, a simple way to test disk drive alignment, speeding up GEOS, partitioning 1581 disks, color printing, a half-dozen trouble shooting tips, and a for sale or trade page. If you'd like to test my claim, membership/subscription cost is $12 per year. SEND NO MONEY!
